Outfits To Wear When Swing Dancing

    When we go country swing dancing it is important to make sure you are dressed properly. Sometimes you may be doing more than just spinning and you may be doing some flips( if you are up to that...lol). Insuring you have a outfit that is cute and has a western style will insure you fit into the crowd but you also want to make sure you do not wear something someone could get caught on. 

    The girl in the white shirt (Lilly) she is wearing a outfit that is cute and also allows her to do some really cool tricks. The girl on the right ( Melina) is wearing a dress, I would not suggest wearing a dress unless you have practiced dancing in a dress before hitting the floor. I practiced with this black flowy dress with my friends. I did not do any tricks that night when I went dancing but I still did dance and kept it to the basics. When I mean I kept it to the basics I kept it to two stepping and basic turns and dips. I also suggest in wearing some leather bottom boots over wearing rubber bottom boots. When you wear leather bottoms you will have a easier time turning and spinning and with the rubber its a lot harder but its not impossible. 

    Making sure you are wearing a outfit that makes you fit into the crowd helps you look like you know what you are doing. Make sure your outfits have great mobility and that your outfits wont have any issues while dancing helps you not have to worry on what your outfit is doing and that you can focus on your awesome dancing.

I asked myself the same question. I would walk into the bar and everyone around me has friends and I wondered if I could become "one of them" could be a good dancer or if I could make the amount of dance partners they have. I did eventually but I had to do a few things to do that. One was to know what was truly going on. That meant practicing everything, from how to do some of the basic line dances to how to even turn correctly with boots on and having the right kind of boots too which we will get to later.
